International Bootcamp Program
This program was developed to supplement and enhance the current depth of knowledge of students at educational institutions outside the U.S., with the ultimate goal of advancing existing career paths for these students. The program is fully customizable per group of international students sharing the same medical interest and native language. Specialized surgical fields of expertise, such as orthopedics, laparoscopy, etc., can be made the sole focus of the educational content, if preferable. Although this program generally runs eight weeks, it may be extended per prearranged agreements.
Besides familiarizing foreign-trained professionals with western-style surgical protocols and language, this program is intended to provide relevant and topical surgical information. Exposure to advanced technologies such as robotics and hands-on surgical training with cadaver and medical pig surgical practice at The Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation & Education may also be available to students.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from KAI. If the International Surgical Bootcamp Program is part of a foreign educational institution’s requirements, students may receive additional certificates as deemed necessary by their institution.
Included in the base tuition, each student receives classroom training, two dedicated medical instructors, copies of textbooks (online and printed), and scrub attire to be worn while onsite or off campus.
